Willie C. Roberson is the President and Owner of Buffalo-based W.C. Roberson Plumbing & Construction Corporation. He is a leading Niagara Frontier Commercial[fSlash]Industrial contractor and the area's largest minority-owned firm in the Plumbing, Heating, and General Construction fields. W.C. Roberson Plumbing & Construction Corp. was founded in Mr. Roberson's basement in 1983 where he was the sole employee. In the intervening 24 years, W.C. Roberson Plumbing & Construction has grown to a business volume of [dollar]10 million annually. The Company offers full services from its headquarters office in Buffalo, New York. It is comprised of a full service Plumbing Division, General Construction[fSlash]Nuclear Industry Division, a Heating-Ventilation-Air Conditioning Division, and a 24-hour Technical Service Department.
After spending six years in the U.S. Air Force, Mr. Roberson attended Buffalo State College where he completed a degree in vocational education. He is a certified vocational teacher in the State of New York and holds a Master Plumber's License for the City of Buffalo. Mr. Roberson also attended Houghton Bible College in West Seneca, New York and the Buffalo Bible Institute in Buffalo, New York as part of Continuing Education.~2010_03_28_15_40_29~~Mr. Roberson has over 40 years of experience in the plumbing industry, 25 years as a businessman, and several years of teaching in the U.A. Plumbing Local's Apprenticeship Program. In addition to being a local businessman, Mr. Roberson is an ordained minister in the National Churches of God in Christ worldwide. His 40 years in the ministry involve pastoral care, teaching, and church administration. He was instructor at the Charles Harrison Mason System of Bible Colleges Buffalo Chapter. Currently, Mr. Roberson is the Administrative Pastor at the Saints' Home Church of God in Christ in Buffalo, New York. He is involved in church administration at the state and local levels. Mr. Roberson has served in many capacities in the Church's Youth Department, Sunday School, and Outreach Missions.~none~~Over the past several years, Mr. Roberson served on numerous professional boards and civic organization committees as a representative in the ministry, business, and industry. To name a few, he serves at the state level as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Western New York Jurisdiction No. 2 Churches of God in Christ. He was a member of the Board of Directors for the Rotary Club of Buffalo and the St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute. Mr. Roberson is the past President of the Plumbing and Mechanical Contractors of Western New York. He is the past President of the New York State Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association and a member of the Board of Directors of the National Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association Executive Officers. Mr. Roberson also is the past Chairman for the National Legislative Committee of the National Association of Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors. On each of the business and industry committees, Mr. Roberson was the first African American member to serve.~none~~Mr. Roberson is the recipient of more than 30 awards for his contribution to the ministry, business, and industry. Awards include the U.S. Small Business Administration Award, Minority Entrepreneur of the Year, Outstanding Support of Small Business Award, Outstanding Leader for the N.Y.S. Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association, the NAACP Humanitarian Award, and the National Conference for Community Justice Business Award.
A native of Texas, Mr. Roberson is married to Dr. Noma Roberson and they have two daughters and two grandsons. Along with his wife, Mr. Roberson has conducted marriage seminars and classes for the past 20 years.~none
