Twilus Davis
Born on 6-18-1892. He was born in Memphis, TN. He was accomplished in the area of Religion. He later died on 10-20-1979.

Rev. Davis was a native of Memphis, Tennessee. He graduated from Friendship College in Rockhill, South Carolina. He founded five churches in the Western New York and Rochester area including Friendship Baptist Church, Promiseland Baptist Church, Friendship Baptist Church in Lockport, Ebenezer Baptist Church in Lackawanna and Trinity Baptist Church in Rochester, NY. Rev. Davis founded the WNY Baptist Association. Rev. Davis was the first African American Chaplain of the Erie County Penitentiary. Rev. Davis was 99 years of age at the time of his death on October 20, 1979. He is buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
