Known as Bobby, Robert was the grandson of Sylvester Miller a plumber from Alton Illinois. Bobby was a founding member of the R&B group The Five DuTones. He began developing his voice in high school, where he met the first members of the group, and later during two tour's in the United States Army he met several of the later members. Bobby sang around the world with the group and while in the army.
He traveled with his young family moving them from station to station. While stationed in Washington D.C., His wife Doris Jean and Mrs. Kennedy, the first lady at the time, were both giving birth at Walter Reed Medical Center. That was an experience Bobby and Doris would never forget, passing it on to their daughters, who include the Author Toni Mariani.
Bobby passed his love of music to Toni, and she shares it in all of her works. She passed it to her children, who included the rap artist K-$WI$$, whose real name was Seneca Eric Hopkins-Hensley. Since Bobby and Seneca are both deceased, it will be up to Toni as an author to keep their musical legacy alive!
