Evangelist Davis was born to Ralph and Octavia Stewart. She is married to (Buddy) Davis, Jr; mother of Elder George Davis, III (Valeria) and Paul; and grandmother to George IV, Kamal and Valencia.
Ms. Davis received a B.A. and MS, ED. Degrees from the University at Buffalo. Her work experience includes employment as a Court Liaison Officer with Neighborhood Revitalization; Housing Counselor; Housing Assistance Center of the Niagara Frontier; Financial Aid Counselor, Canisius College; Caseworker Apprentice, Erie County Department of Social Services and Research at the New York Research Foundation. She collaborated in the compilation of a book entitled, Graduate Programs for Minorities which has been widely used in college centers. Prior to retirement, Evangelist Davis worked with the Erie county Department of Environment and Planning.
Ms. Davis has held volunteer positions with C.H. Mason Bible College, VISTCE, Masten Block Club and the Community Dispute Resolution Project. Her church work includes membership at Deliverance Temple, COGIC, as Sunday School Teachers, Purity Lady and Licensed Evangelist at the local level. Statewide, she served with the Evangelistic Department of COGIC and Secretary of the church's national auxiliary convention. Additionally she was a radio host on "Standing in the Gate," aired on WDCX. One of her most rewarding experiences was in conducting backyard vacation Bible School at her home during the summer. She has held membership in the New York State Financial Aid Administrators Association; National Association of Business and Professional Women's Clubs and the National Association of Housing Counselors.
