Janeen Ceparano Wilkins

Janeen Ceparano Wilkins is a performing violist who completed her Master's and Bachelorââ?¬â?¢s Degrees of music degree at the Eastman School of Music. Her studies there, in addition to viola performance, involved string pedagogy and arts and administration. Janeen is the recipient of several awards including the Career Development Grant from the American Association of University Women, the Eubie and Marion Blake Memorial scholarship, the Harriet Hale Woolley Scholarship given to artists and musicians studying in Paris, France and the Rochester Chapter LINKS scholarship for African American students of the Eastman School.

She is a former faculty member of both the Hochstein Music School and the Eastman Community Music School. She now runs her own private music teaching business where she teaches students ages 3 through adult. She performs regularly throughout New York State including performances with the Chautauqua Symphony and the Gateways Music Festival.
