Evaline Logan was a runaway slave, who found shelter and assistance, before entering Canada and gaining her freedom from Emily Wadsworth. Mrs. Wadsworth was a "terminal" in the Buffalo Underground Railroad. After the War, Evaline, in an apparent show of appreciation, returned to the Wadsworth home and worked for them until they passed. In an apparent show of appreciation also, the Mrs. Wadsworth made arrangements for Evaline to be buried in the family plot in Section V in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Upon her death Evaline was buried in the Wadsworth family plot. Evaline was a resident of the County Home when she passed at the age of 82. She died on July 20, 1927. Mrs. Wadsworth died in 1919.
