Enid Wright
She was born in Alcoa, Tennessee.

Enid Wright moved to Buffalo in 1956, from the small town of Alcoa, Tennessee. She graduated from Buffalo State College in 1962 with a degree in Elementary Education and received a Master's degree in counseling from the University at Buffalo in 1974.
Enid has left her footprints in the field of education, community activism, and art. From 1962 - 1994 she taught honors classes and counseled students who had special needs at various Buffalo public schools.
Her entrepreneurial spirit and creative talents led her into the art world and for many years her career ran a parallel path as an educator and art dealer. Since 1973, Enid has made countless trips to more than fifteen African countries in search of unique artifacts.
On the community front, she was an active volunteer with the BUILD organization, taking on leadership roles. She is currently a member of the Buffalo Juneteenth of Buffalo, Inc., and Chair of Financial Development.
Her life experiences continue in full stride. She exhibits African art at large festivals, professional conferences, and business expositions.
