Vivian Coram Scott was born in Buffalo New York . Her father was from Hobson , Alabama and her mother from Memphis , Tennessee . She attended School #32 and received an Associate Degree in Nursing from Trocaire College . She also took many courses at the University at Buffalo and Buffalo State .
Vivian is a life member of the National Federation of Womenââ?¬â?¢s Clubs and has been a member of the Mary B. Talbert Civic and Cultural Club since 1984. She has served in many capacities in both the local and state organizations, including President and Vice President of the Mary B. Talbert Club and a two time Chairperson of the State Youth Luncheon. She is currently serving as President of the Buffalo Region of the Empire State Federation of Women's Clubs, Inc. Vivian is a gracious lady who lovingly shares her knowledge with her club sisters. She is also a care giver for an elderly friend.
Her service to others extended to her professional life as a Registered Nurse. Vivian retired from the Erie County Medical Center . She is a member of the St. Luke AME Zion Church where she serves on the Nurse's Guild, sings in the choir, and is also a member of the Trustee Board. Vivian is an avid reader and a member of the Monday Night Book Club, which meets at her church. When well-known authors come to Buffalo , New York , the Book Club puts together a group to discuss the writings of authors like Virginia DeBerry. She is active in missionary work; knits, writes poetry and is an avid collector of teacups and tea pots and elephants. Vivian is an avid reader and also likes to travel. She has traveled to Hong Kong , England , Alaska , many small islands in the Caribbean and other places in the United States
She is a proud mother of five, three of whom are living, fourteen grandchildren and a great grandmother of twenty-eight. Vivian resides in the Town of Tonawanda .
