Walter B. Holland DDS
He was born in Moneta, VA.. He later died on 5-5-1990.

Dr. Holland was born in Moneta, Virginia. He received a bachelor's degree from Virginia Union University in Richmond and a doctor of dental surgery degree from the Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, Tennessee.
In 1935, Dr. Holland established a private practice at 360 William Street in Buffalo, New York. His son, Dr. Walter Jr. joined him in 1973 and continued the practice after the elder Holland retired in 1988.
Holland was an avid golfer and bowler and was active in many professional and community endeavors. During World War II, he served on the War Manpower Board. He also served on the executive board of the Buffalo Urban League and was chairman of the board of the Michigan Avenue branch of the YMCA for two years. He was a trustee of Durham Memorial African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, a past master of Ionic Lodge 88 a member of the elks and historian of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity's Rho Lambda Chapter.
Dr. Holland also was a member of Alpha Omega dental fraternity and the state, 8th District and Erie County dental societies.
He was married to the former Laura Westray, the father of Holland Jr. and the grandfather of two. Dr. Holland was buried at Forest Lawn.
