Vera B. Trimier is the daughter of David and Nancy Curry Bray. She was born in Royston, Georgia on May 11, 1905.
Vera joined the St. John Baptist Church in Gainsville, Ga. At an early age and served as an active member until 1945 when she moved to Niagara Falls.
She attended Spelman College in Atlanta, Ga. From 1928-1931 and taught in the Atlanta school system during her younger years.
Mrs. Trimier joined New Hope Baptist Church on Buffalo Avenue in 1945 under the pastorate of the late Rev. Milliard F. Clay. She served on the Board of Missions and sang in the choir, as long as she was able.
She worked as a dietitian in several organizations in Niagara Falls.
Vera was a charter member of the Niagara Falls Chapter of The Links, Inc., which was founded in 1950. She was also involved with various local civic organizations including the Niagara Falls Chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
