I was born on the beautiful twin islands of Trinidad and Tobago but currently reside in Bronx, New York. I am an undergraduate student majoring in Anthropology and Social Science Interdisciplinary Program with a minor in African and African American Studies at the University at Buffalo (UB). As a student at UB, I have been involved in various offices and organizations such as Hip Hop SA, Team UB, Association of Pre-Medical Students, UB Advocates, the office of Admissions (UB Star & tour guide), the Intercultural Diversity Center (NASPA's Undergraduate Fellowship Program (NUFP) fellow & SAGE intern), and the Health Education Office (Sub-Board Intern).

My involvement does not only occur on the university's campus but it extends into the community of Buffalo. I have volunteered at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Veterans Hospital, Erie County Medical Center, Street Synergy, Brush Up Buffalo, UB Pride and Service Day, as well as Alternative Spring Break in Buffalo. After my graduation from the University at Buffalo, I plan to further my education by obtaining a master's degree in Higher Education Administration then continuing on to achieve a Ph. D. Then I would like to have a career working, at a university, as a director or dean in addition to being a motivational speaker.

I was interested in being a part of the Uncrowned Queens Institute because I wanted to learn and expand my knowledge on all of the great accomplishments that African Americans have contributed to their community as well as their life story. As an intern with the Uncrowned Queens Institute, I hope to gain a better understanding for biographical history in addition to expanding my knowledge about the digital kiosk as well as assisting with the technological development of others in the community.
