Tina Wallace Allen

Tina Allen, born Tina Wallace in Buffalo, NY November 20, 1980. Tina received her high school diploma from Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts where she majored in Music, studying violin and piano. During that time, she also attended the Upward Bound Program where she excelled in math and science. Tina was always a lover of both academics and the arts.
In 2002, Tina graduated cum laude from University at Buffalo (SUNY) with Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Personally, reflecting on Martin Luther King's words "Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education", Tina took full advantage of the opportunities available to her. Tina received a Minority Student Scholarship and was listed in the Who's Who Among Students In American Universities and College recognition program.
During her time at the University at Buffalo, she was member of multiple student lead groups, including the Black Student Union and the Minority Nursing Association. In 2001 she served as the President of the Nursing Student Organization and the President of the UB African Dance Troupe.
After graduation, Tina started her nursing career at Erie County Medical Center (ECMC). Tina grew and developed as a registered nurse over the next several years working in the Emergency Department at this level one trauma center. Tina taught Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) with Buffalo CPR and also worked per diem as a Nursing Supervisor at Kaleida Health Buffalo General during 2015-2017. Tina worked 17 years at ECMC rising from general duty nurse to Nursing Care Coordinator and eventually to Assistant Vice President of Critical Care and Emergency Services. Tina became an organizational leader, mentor, and trainer, with a unique blend of clinical expertise, business acumen and administrative oversight.
In 2015 Tina decided to pursue her master's in business administration. In 2017 after an international residency in Shanghai/Beijing, China, Tina completed an Executive MBA Program at the University at Buffalo.
Tina Allen, MBA, BSN, RN, is currently the Call Center Director for New York State Contact Tracing Initiative. In this position she currently leads a team in the thousands of virtual staff and growing, dedicated to the combating COVID-19. Tina is skilled leading and developing collaborative, multifaceted teams to assure to quality adherence in this everchanging environment.
Tina has been happily married to Courtney Allen since 2005 and mother to three beautiful boys. She is active with her congregation and believes in loving your neighbor as you would yourself. Tina leads by example, with honesty and a passion for the work she is involved in. That coupled with firm conviction that giving brings more happiness than receiving.
