Steve Finch is currently the Plant Manager of the Powertrain Tonawanda Engine Facility, and he has 34 years of manufacturing experience with General Motors. A native of Buffalo NY, Steve attended the Buffalo Public School System, graduating from Hutchinson Central Technical High School in 1976. He then attended college at General Motors Institute (now Kettering University) in Flint Michigan where he earned a degree in Electrical Engineering. Steve spent most of his career in the southeastern Michigan area, starting with a series of technical and staff assignments, before assuming duties as a plant manager in various manufacturing operations.
Steve is a former member of the Engineering Society of Detroit and a former board member of the Michigan Technical Education Center at Mott Community College in Flint, MI., and served on the Board of directors for the 100 Club of Flint. He currently serves as the board chair of the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County and is on the board of AAA WNY. Married for over 34 years, Steve's wife Lillian is also from Buffalo, and together they have 5 children and 9 grandchildren. His favorite outdoor activity is golf, but Steve spends most of his non-working hours with his family and in service to his Church where he is a Deacon and Trustee.
