The Owner and President of Mobley-Terry and Associates Training and Program Development Consultants, Sandra Mobley-Terry is widely recognized for her expertise and for her dynamic and compelling training style. Her Competency Enrichment Training programs are used by both public and private organizations. She has developed curricula that promote empowerment through the appreciation of self and has been contracted by many agencies throughout the United States to facilitate workshops/seminars using that curricula as well as her Cultural Competency training module. Ms. Mobley-Terry's training modules, regarding Multicultural Awareness and Diversity Appreciation, Personal Enrichment, Team-Building, Conflict Resolution, Reducing the Risk of Violence in the Workplace, Customer Service, Sexual Harassment and Professional Enhancement and Empowerment, are tailored to the specific needs of the client.
Lake Shore Behavioral Health, Inc. employs Sandra as Director of their Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Facility for women with children. She is the past Director of the Erie County Committee on Rape and Sexual Assault, Inc., Founder and Past Director of the Training Institute for the Prevention of Violence against Women, and a former Director of the City of Buffalo's Division of Substance Abuse Treatment Services. In 1998, she inaugurated the agency, Survivors Break the Silence, Inc., which provides training focused on the impact of sexual violence to survivors.
Ms. Mobley-Terry is a past member of the boards of New York State Coalition Against Sexual Assault, Just Buffalo Literary Center, the Erie County Cultural Arts Resources Advisory Board, and the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society. She is a past appointee to the Erie County Commission on the Status of Women.
Sandra currently serves on the executive board of the Niagara Frontier Council of the Boy Scouts of America and chairs the City of Buffalo's Commission on Citizens Rights and Community Relations.
A mentor and advisor to individuals and organizations throughout the Greater Buffalo and Western New York area, Sandra is the 1998 recipient of the Planned Parenthood Award for Women's Health Advocacy, the recipient of the National Conference for Community Justice's Health Award, and a graduate of Leadership Buffalo (1999).
