Patricia Ann Franklin, affectionately referred to as Pat, was born May 4, 1946 to the union of Ivory Lee and Emma Jenkins in Chicago, Illinois. She subsequently attended Chicago State University, where she earned her Bachelors of Arts in Education.
Patricia was united in marriage to Charles B. Franklin in December 1967. Two sons were born to this union, Charles B. Jr. and Carlton L. Patricia and her family relocated to the Buffalo area in 1979. Pat and Charles are the proud grandparents of two grandsons, Devin and Quintin.

She taught third grade in the Buffalo Public School System for over 20 years. In 2003, she left the classroom to become a Reading Coach in the Reading First program. She chaired numerous committees, was a willing participant in meetings and chapter activities, and was honored as ââ?¬Å?Soror of the Yearââ?¬ in 2000. Pat and Charles opened their home to the chapter members and their families for the annual summer picnic, and they thrilled the crowd when they so eloquently danced the waltz at the chapterââ?¬â?¢s annual dinner dance.
