Marva Holland Frails

Marva Frails was born in Niagara Falls, New York, the daughter of the late Frank Holland and Inez Caver. Her family included two brothers; Leverne Holland (Wanda) and Bishop Carl Holland (Sandra). She is the mother of two children: a son, Anthony Kincannon and a daughter, Cynthia Kincannon, from her first marriage to Rudolph Kincannon. In her second marriage, she became the wife of Jim Frails and shared a blended family with him. This included three more daughters, Judy Frails McCray, Deborah May Burt and Elaine Frails and another son, Willie Frails.
Marva graduated Cum Laude from Wilberforce University in Ohio, with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and she earned her Master's Degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
A well respected and celebrated teacher, Marva's first teaching assignment was at Gaskill Junior High School. She then transferred to Niagara Falls High School where she worked until her retirement in 2000.
She is a past president of the Beta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority; Minister of Music at New Hope Baptist Church; Board President of the Niagara Experience Players and Founder and Advisor of the Niagara Falls High School Gospel Chorus.
Marva says: "My career is one that I will never forget. All love goes to students that I have had, and I am so proud of everyone that I have taught."
Marva is the grandmother of two, Christopher and Nicholas Kincannon.
