Uncrowned Community Builders

Luke Brown was a businessman, who owned three taverns. He also worked for the Niagara Frontier Transit Authority. He was born in Montgomery, Alabama and moved to Buffalo as a child with his family. He graduated from Hutch Tech High School and served in the United States Army. He owned and ran three taverns including Lois and Lukeââ?¬â?¢s named for his wife. He was passionate about politics and improving the community; Mr. Brown served as Democratic committeeman for 30 years and was a zone chairman for 20 years.

Mr. Brown was 81 years of age at the time of his death on January 11, 2006. He is buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Buffalo, NY.
