Jessie Faye Coleman Ector

Jessie Faye Ector was born in Buffalo to Grover, Sr. and Ethel Coleman. She is a graduate of Fosdick Masten High School and Medaille College where she received a B.S. Degree in Business Administration.

She joined the Mary B. Talbert Civic and Cultural Club in 1993 and had the distinction of being Club President from 1998 through 2001. She served in the office of Recording Secretary at the local, regional, and state levels and is Financial Secretary for both the local club and the Buffalo Region.

Other volunteer community activities include Junior Achievement, Boy Scouts of America, the Diabetes Association, and Heart Association. Jessie has been employed at the Tonawanda Engine Plant, Powertrain Division of General Motors, for the past 25 years. She has held positions in purchasing, quality control, and is currently a contract administrator with production control and logistics. Prior to joining General Motors, Jessie was employed with various community service organizations including Council on Culture Freedom School, Opportunities Development Corporation, and the Contractor's Training Development Corporation.

Jessie is a life-long member of St. John Baptist Church where she serves faithfully with the Number 2 Usher Ministry and currently holds the position of Vice President. She is also a member of the Board of Christian Education Ministry.

She is the widow of William Ector, Sr. and the proud mother of William, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia.
