James Emmet Bell
Born on 8-7-1885. He was born in Farmville, VA. He was accomplished in the area of Business. He later died on 11-8-1955.

James Emmet Bell was a native of Farmville, Virginia. His parents were George and Rosalie Brown Bell. He and the former Thelma Lewis married on February 17, 1920. The Bells were the parents of six sons and a daughter. Mr. Bell moved his family to Buffalo, New York in 1928.
He was a real estate agent with the Nye Realty Company and had worked for Bethlehem Steel Corporation. Mr. Bell was active in the community as a Deacon and member of the usher board of Shiloh Baptist Church; member of the Board of Managers of the Michigan Avenue YMCA; member of the Buffalo Real Estate Board.
Two of his sons, James W. and Clifford have been active in Buffalo businesses, having founded the Bell Brothers Cleaners. Clifford also served as a Councilman on the Buffalo Common Council.
Mr. Bell is buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
