Henry Clay Edward Everett MD
He was born in Columbia, SC. He later died on 3-16-1997.

Dr. Everett was born in Columbia, South Carolina and was a classmate of John F. Kennedy at Harvard University, where he had a scholarship. He graduated from Harvard in 1940. He earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan and did post graduate work at Howard University Freedman's Hospital.
Moving to Buffalo, New York, he received additional training at Roswell Park Institute. After being certified as a surgeon Dr. Everett became the fourth African American physician to be admitted to the American College of Surgeons. He opened a private practice on Broadway and later moved to Linwood Ave. In 1968 he joined Dr. Robert Lee and Dr. Nathaniel Webster to form the Ferry Medical Center. He had also worked as a prison physician at Attica Correctional Facility and Wyoming County Correctional Facility. He received numerous awards throughout his medical career.
Dr. Everett was 76 years of age at the time of his passing on March 16, 1997. He is buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
