Alvin Joseph Anderson

Born on 2-26-1896. He was born in Marietta, GA. He was accomplished in the area of the Arts. He later died on 1-14-1997.

A native of Marietta, Georgia, Alvin Joseph Anderson moved to Buffalo in the 1940s. He opened a photography studio at 197 William Street. He was also recognized as an authority in naturopathy and dubbed the "Herb Wizard". Anderson had a nearly 60 year career as a photographer on the East Side. He took his first color advertising photo for the S.S. Kresge Store. He was married to Ludia Anderson. He died on January 14, 1997.
