Alphonso Clifford Brown MD
Born on 9-13-1927. He was born in Peoria, IL. He was accomplished in the area of Healthcare. He later died on 2-16-2003.

Alphonso Clifford Brown was born in Peoria, Illinois. He moved, with his family, to Grand Rapids, Michigan at an early age. He was the oldest of five children. His parents were John Brown and Carol Johnson Brown. Brown completed his early education in Grand Rapides and his Bachelor's and Medical degrees at the University of Michigan. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa - Phi Delta Epsilon, the medical fraternity.
He met his future wife, Cynthia Ann Hardy while in college and the two married in 1955. The couple had three children, Alan Jr., Cheryl and Matthew.
Dr. Brown was a commissioned officer in the Air Force Medical Corps. He was a Captain and served two years in Guam. He retired from the Air Force Reserves as a Major.
He began his family medical practice in 1957 and continued to operate the practice until poor health caused him to retire in 1996.
Dr. Brown received numerous recognitions including the NAACP Award of Merit. He was a member of Sigma Psi Phi Fraternity, which awarded him a distinguished service award.
Dr. Brown was a founder of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Boule Education Foundation's local chapter in 1976 and served as the CEO from 1976 until his death. At that time the Foundation had awarded over $500,000 in scholarships and also mentored many young people.
Dr. Brown is buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Buffalo, New York.
