Robert S. Curry

Born on 11-20-1916. He was born in Lancaster, SC. He was accomplished in the area of the Arts. He later died on 9-15-1994.

Robert S. Curry was a featured soloist in the Westminster Presbyterian Church choir. He was born in Lancaster, SC and came to Buffalo as a child with his family. He met his wife the former Hulit Merriweather during the Voices of Tomorrow singing contest at Hutch Tech High School where she was an accompanist. He was a classically trained bass baritone. He pursued his musical training at Syracuse University and with private teachers in New York City and Boston. He gave recitals at various local churches. He had worked at American Brass and the General Motors Plant on Delevan Avenue in Buffalo.

Mr. Curry was 78 years of age at the time of his death on September 15, 1994. He is buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
