Frances May Taliaferro Price

Frances Taliaferro Price is a retired educator who attended Buffalo State Teachers College where she received her Bachelors, Masters and Superintendent's Certificate. Later, she graduated from Erie Technical Institute and worked in the Food Service and Dietary Department of General Hospital.

She is very active in her church, First Shiloh Baptist, where she served over ten years as the President of the Deaconess Board. She has enriched her church's program through her spiritual leadership and talents heading the church's oldest auxiliary - the Willing Workers Club, which sponsors the ""Harvest Celebration of Talent."" Each year this program enables untapped talent to surface and also raises funds to enhance the function and beauty of God's House.

Mrs. Price is an active member of the community. She was President of the Women's Auxiliary of the NAACP and has been a life member for over ten years. Mrs. Price is a member of many community organizations and has received numerous awards and recognition for her creativity and unselfish sharing.

She is known as ""A World Traveler."" She and her husband traveled extensively during their time of employment and continued during their retirement. Some of the places visited include most of the U.S.A., Alaska and Hawaii, many of the warm islands including Puerto Rico, South America and Mexico. They traveled to Paris, London, and Amsterdam, ""Home"" to Senegal, Africa and later to Hong Kong, Bangkok, Bali, Rome, Singapore, Madrid and Barcelona. And they are still planning to visit other places. These experiences are always shared with friends and relatives with many interesting presentations of slides and pictures.

Mrs. Price was the daughter of Joseph and Bannie Pearl Taliaferro. She was married to Judson Price for 58 years. They have three daughters; Judine D. Agnostini, Sandra L. Allen, and Monica J. Price - all are graduates of Buffalo State College. They have five grandchildren: Desmond J. Allen, Alliah D. Agostini, Lamar Allen, Alana Agostini, and Reginald Allen.
