Constance Helen Abrams Milliner

Constance Helen Abrams Milliner was born on December 16, 1932 in Buffalo, New York. Her parents were Harold and Anna Elizabeth Abrams.
Connie, as she was affectionately known, was a graduate of Fosdick Masten High School. She attended D'Youville and Buffalo State College, where she ultimately returned as an employee in the Chemistry Department.
Connie was married to Robert Milliner on March 25, 1951. They were the parents of two sons, Robert Kevin and Patrick Brent. Connie was devoted to her family and friends. She was loved by all who were fortunate enough to know her for her kind, generous and upbeat spirit. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, Buffalo Bills football games and traveling with her husband, Bob. Connie and Bob also had a great love for animals, providing shelter for a number of dogs and birds that would otherwise have not had homes.
Connie was a lifelong member and active participant of St. Philip's Episcopal Church for over fifty years. At the time of her passing, she was secretary and a devoted member of the Altar Guild. She was also an active member of the Garden Club and the Quilters Group. She was one of the founding members of the Newsletter Committee. Connie was a long time member of the Board of Directors of St. Philip's Community Center, Inc. She recruited grand writers; served as treasurer and supported every activity of the Center. Connie never hesitated and always volunteered and gave of herself for the church community.
Connie retired from Buffalo State College in 1991 after 22 years of service as Senior Lab Technician of the Chemistry Department. Connie's office as considered the place for students to come to find a kind word and encouragement.
